Measurement and Calculation of Remaining Tread Depth

To accurately measure the tread depth, utilize either a vernier caliper or a specialized tread-depth gauge. It’s crucial to take measurements away from any wear indicators and ribs, ensuring the caliper is positioned vertically down to the groove’s bottom. Select measurement points at a groove either along the crown’s centerline or the closest one to the tread’s centerline.

Calculation Method:

Conduct tread depth measurements at four points evenly distributed around the tire. The average of these four measurements is considered the Remaining Tread Depth.

Exclusions (Radial Tires)

This Limited Warranty excludes coverage for:

  • Tires that have been repaired, retreaded, or designated as scrap
  • Tires presented beyond 48 months from the bill of lading issue date (or the manufacture date if unavailable)
  • Tires removed from service for over six months before submitting for warranty
  • Damage or unusual wear due to accidents, punctures, cuts, impacts, collisions, fire, or other external forces
  • Issues arising from improper mounting, demounting, alignment, inflation, wheel balance, usage, overload, overspeeding, braking, vibration, or misuse
  • Mechanical defects in vehicles or improper storage conditions
  • Use of incorrect inner tubes, resistance boards, or O-rings
  • Tires with intentionally altered appearances
  • Tires with additional fillers, sealants, ballast, or balancing substances
  • Any kind of repair or retreading efforts

Other Terms (Radial Tires)

Following the settlement of a warranty claim, the failed tire must be retained by its authorized agent or us for at least three months before disposal. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses such as loss of time or vehicle availability.

PART B: WARRANTY FOR BIAS TRUCK TIRES IN THAILAND

Eligible Parties

This warranty covers all tires produced and distributed by us. It is valid for the original buyer or an authorized representative, provided the tires have intact serial numbers.

Warranty Period

The warranty period from us lasts three years, starting from either the Bill of Lading (B/L) issue date or the manufacture date indicated on the tire’s serial number, whichever comes first.

Warranty Coverage

If a tire from us becomes unusable solely due to a manufacturing flaw, the company may choose to:

  • Repair the tire;
  • Substitute it with a similar new Thailand Truck Tire;
  • Offer a pro-rata adjustment or credit.

Adjustment Calculation (Bias Tires)

The cost for replacing a bias tire will be determined as follows:

Original Purchase Price (without taxes) multiplied by (Remaining Tread Depth divided by Original Tread Depth).

  • If a manufacturing defect is confirmed and tread wear is under 2.00 mm, the adjustment will be 100%.
  • If the remaining tread depth is below 2.00 mm, the tire is considered fully worn out, and no adjustment will be provided.

Measurement of Remaining Tread Depth

The procedures and calculations for determining tread depth in bias tires align with the standards detailed in Section 5 (Radial Tires).

Exclusions (Bias Tires)

This warranty excludes items listed under Section 6 (Radial Tires).

Other Terms (Bias Tires)

  • Tires that are part of approved claims must remain with their authorized agent or us for three months before they can be disposed of.
  • We will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of time or vehicle use, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
